Dolores Huerta #ShePersisted

When Sen. Mitch McConnell's remark about Sen. Elizabeth Warren ("She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted.") became a rallying cry for the resistance, it occurred to me to make a series of "She Persisted" drawings featuring great women/femme freedom fighters. 

This is the first of what I hope will be a series.

Dolores Huerta co-founded the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) which later became the United Farm Workers (UFW). She has spent her life fighting to protect the rights of workers, immigrants, Latinx people, and women - and continues that work to this day.
